5-7 Year Old Division Results
One of the most talented group of athletes to date led to several new AZYFC Records. In the 5-7 year old division Landon Flowers set a new broad jump record when he out jumped any 6 year old to date with 5’3″ leap. Returning combine veteran Everett Elquest took the top spot in the vertical jump with a 15″ vertical. Elquest improved his vertical by 2.5 inches from his first combine experience at Arcadia H.S. Jaxon Venteicher had an impressive showing at his first combine. Venteicher took first in the shuttle with a time of 5.25 and also tied with Kofa Lungo for the top 40 yard dash with a time of 6.76. Kian Ghaemmaqhami’s mom mentioned that he is huge for a 7 year old. Listed at 4’7″ 91 pounds she was right! Turns out he’s strong too. 8-10 Year Old Division Results
In the 8-10 year old division AZYFC Combine MVP Kadin Johnson not only took the 40 yard dash 5.57, shuttle 5.1, and vertical 19.5″ but set new records in all 3 events as well! An impressive first showing from this talented 10 year old WR. Another young combine standout at Pinnacle H.S. was Alec Fenton. At only 8 years of age Fenton took the strength challenge with a toss of 14’2″. Alec currently ranks 3rd overall in the 8-10 division with a PPR of 57.62. Fenton’s consistency in each event and the ability to compete with the 10 year olds in his division was very impressive. Wyatt Defreitas a 9 year old running back from Gilbert showed great footwork and change of direction as he took 1st place in the shuttle. 11-13 Year Old Division Results
After just falling short of winning a medal at our Arcadia Combine 13 year old safety Jaylen Cox was determined to train hard and medal at the Pinnacle H.S. Combine. Jaylen’s hard work paid off when he claimed 1st in the broad jump with a jump of 7’1″. Motivated from his first experience Cox increased his broad jump from 6’1″ to 7’1″ in just 2 month period!
13 year old RB Bryce Black said in his player interview he came to the combine to break records. Bryce backed up his bold statement by setting 2 new combine records! His shuttle time of 4.47 broke the previous record of 4.81 set by Juanito Romo in 2018 at Campo Verde H.S. Bryce also set the vertical record with a 27″ vertical edging out the previous record of 26.5″ held by Tavian Dennis in 2018 at Campo Verde H.S. Another stand out at Pinnacle H.S. was 12 year old RB Dashon White. Dashon showed great break away speed and took 1st place in the division with his impressive 40 time of 5.02. White’s 5.02 is the fastest 40 time to date to be ran by a 12 year old and just fell short of the division record of 4.997 held by Tavian Dennis. The strength challenge was won by Malachi Allen. Allen a safety from Tucson at 13 years old stood 6ft tall and had a standing reach of 7’10”. He used every inch to his advantage and showed impressive strength to match his size with a toss of 23’1″. 14-18 Year Old Division Results
In the 14-18 year old division 16 year old RB Dante White posted the fastest 40 time with a 4.81. Dante currently sits 6th overall with a PPR 55.o6. At 5’7″ 167 pounds look for this explosive back to make a big impact for Hamilton H.S. this season. Joey Martinez set a new combine record with an impressive shuttle time of 4.28 edging out Tanner Goodchild time of 4.44 in 2018 at Campo Verde H.S. Now a two time strength challenge winner Marcus Burgos took first place on the medicine ball toss in Arcadia and Pinnacle. Burgos a 17 year old DL won with a toss of 28′ beating his previous best toss of 24′ by an impressive 4 feet! Currently ranked #1 overall in the division Tredevyante Hinchey took first place in vertical jump, and broad jump. Hinchey currently holds 3 combine records vertical 35.5″, broad jump, 9’4″, and 40 yard dash 4.68. The AZ Youth Football Combine Creates a New Opportunity for Young Athletes in Arizona
Arizona Youth Football Combine created an opportunity for youth to both improve and show off their skills in the first youth football camp & combine competition in Arizona. The youngest of athletes get to learn how the pros train, while high school athletes get to see what colleges look for in future recruits. These special events are designed just like professional combines where speed and agility are tested. Every participant receives proven tips to improve their skills, accurately measure personally statistics, and create their own personal player profile. Arizona football players walk away from this event motivated to improve while gaining a valuable combine experience.
